Roles and Responsibilities of Mid Level Service Providers
Mid Level Service Providers are trained health professionals who provide a range of primary health care services at the sub-centre level. They are responsible for:
- Conducting regular home visits and outreach activities to identify and follow up on high-risk cases and provide health education and counseling.
- Providing antenatal, postnatal, newborn, child, and adolescent care services, including immunization, growth monitoring, nutrition counseling, and referral.
- Providing family planning services, including counseling, contraceptive distribution, and follow up.
- Providing basic curative services for common ailments, such as fever, diarrhea, respiratory infections, skin infections, etc., and referral for complicated cases.
- Providing palliative care services for terminally ill patients and their families.
- Maintaining records and registers of the sub-centre and reporting to the higher authorities.
Eligibility Criteria for Mid Level Service Providers Posts

Age Limit
The candidate’s maximum age should be 40 years as on 1st May 2023. Age relaxation is applicable as per government rules for reserved category candidates.

You must have a BSc Nursing or GNM degree from a recognized institution. You must have registered with the Kerala Nursing Council.
