Conservation Archaeological Sites Unit Head
Job: Full Time
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
Description:
Manage the development and implementation of regulations, policies, guidelines and standards, programming, implementation and supervision of conservation activities, with a focus on the archaeological sites and landscapes.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare periodic reports to reflect on the overall and individual performance of the Conservation – Archaeological Sites unit. Maintain reports and documents on individual and unit performance records.
- Direct and review the compilation of conservation management plans for Archaeological Sites.
- Provide conservation advice and guidance on development and planning proposals affecting Abu Dhabi’s Archaeological Sites.
- Supervise liaison with external stakeholders and provide advice on developing and integrating conservation-related strategies.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts/ Archaeology/ Historic Preservation (Heritage Conservation) or equivalent.
- Master’s degree in Archaeology/ Historic Preservation (Heritage Conservation) or equivalent.
- Bachelor Degree Holders: 10 to 12 years of experience in Built Heritage Conservation, preferably with a minimum of 8 years of field experience on archaeological sites.
- Post Graduate Holders: 6 to 8 years of experience Built Heritage Conservation, with a minimum of 5 years of field experience on archaeological sites.
