We are looking for a friendly, experienced taxi driver to join our company. The taxi driver's responsibilities include collecting clients, transporting them to their destinations, and processing payments. You should also ensure that each journey remains safe and pleasant.

To be successful as a taxi driver, you should be punctual, reliable, and excellent at time management. An outstanding taxi driver will ensure that the vehicle remains stocked with supplies that may be of interest to clients, which includes items such as daily papers

Taxi Driver Requirements:

• Valid driver's license.
• Valid license or permit to transport passengers.
• Clear criminal record.
• Prior experience in a similar position.
• Familiarity with GPS software.
• Well-groomed, professional appearance.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills.

Available Vacancies

Friendly, well-groomed applicants with clean driving records are the most sought-after candidates for taxi driver positions. Candidates with schedule flexibility are preferred, as 12-hour shifts, night, holiday, and weekend work are often required. Flexibility to travel is a plus as well, as trips outside the city of employment are made occasionally.

There are no formal education requirements for taxi drivers; however, the position does have minimum age requirements that vary from state to state. This age requirement ranges from 21 – 26. Drivers are also required to be licensed in the state in which he or she will be driving, and motor vehicle records are checked for violations.

There are two different kinds of taxi you need to know about: the licensed Hackney cab and licensed private hire cab. Hackney cabs (black cabs) can be hailed from the street whereas licensed private hire cabs (mini cabs) are pre-booked by customers and aren’t allowed to pick up customers at random. Taxi Drivers are normally self-employed and either own their own vehicle or hire it from the operating firm.

Taxi companies operate on a 24-hour basis and most Drivers work in shifts. Friday and Saturday evenings are usually the busiest time for Taxi Drivers and to earn good money you’ll need to be out driving in the early hours (warning: expect more tipsy chatty customers during these shifts)
